Trauma-Informed, Affirming Therapy in Indiana and Michigan

Supporting individuals navigating anxiety, attachment wounds, trauma, and chronic illness through a holistic, mind-body approach.

Hi, I’m Stephanie!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing online therapy to adults across Indiana and Michigan. I founded Attunement in 2021 to create a holistic, affirmative practice for folx who are ethically non-monogamous (ENM), polyamorous, LGBTQIA+, and/or kinky.

My work centers on how we relate — to ourselves, to our bodies, and to others. With over 14 years of education, research, lived experience, and clinical practice, I draw from evidence-based and experiential approaches to support healing that feels grounded, collaborative, and unique to you.

Whether you’re in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, or elsewhere in Indiana or Michigan, you can access supportive care from the comfort of your own home.

  • Anxiety, Trauma, and Attachment Wounds

If you find yourself overthinking interactions, feeling overwhelmed, experiencing persistent anxiety, or repeating relationship patterns you wish you could change — you’re not alone.

These responses often begin as a way your nervous system protected you. Anxiety, attachment wounds, minority stress, and relational trauma can shape how you relate to yourself, others, and your body.

In our work together, we can explore the roots of these patterns with curiosity and care while building new experiences of safety and connection.

Through a trauma-informed, somatic, and attachment-focused lens, therapy can help you develop more secure, grounded ways of relating — both internally and interpersonally.

  • Chronic Illness and Pelvic Pain Conditions

Living with chronic pain or reproductive health conditions can be isolating - especially when your experiences have been minimized or misunderstood.

I provide therapy for individuals navigating:

Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI), and other chronic pain and complex medical experiences.

Together, we hold space for both the emotional and physical layers of living with chronic illness — supporting nervous system regulation, honoring identity shifts, processing grief, and managing the stress of navigating the medical system.

Your pain is real. Your experience deserves to be seen.

  • Affirmative Supervision & Consultation for Clinicians

I am an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor-in-Training offering individual, dyadic, and group supervision for Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) in Indiana.

My supervision integrates affirmative and feminist approaches within systemic therapy models, supporting clinicians in developing thoughtful, ethically grounded, and identity-informed practice while deepening their self-of-the-therapist awareness.

Additionally, I offer individual and group consultation for solo practitioners and small group practices who want to provide more affirming, competent care for clients in ethically non-monogamous (ENM), polyamorous, and bisexual communities.

Consultation may include clinical strategies for working with ENM and polyamorous relationships, case conceptualization, a review of intake forms and website language for inclusivity, and guidance on creating a welcoming physical space.
